Pros

high base salary - but on a draw so you will likely never catch up. Every other Friday off - this is a nice perk

Cons

During my interview process, I conducted extensive research on Jobot to ensure its credibility. I consulted reputable sources such as Glassdoor, Google, and articles written about the company, which provided positive feedback. However, my experience at Jobot revealed certain concerning aspects. The company operates with a pyramid scheme mentality and enforces higher expectations upon promotion after achieving set goals, leaving little choice in the matter. There appears to be favoritism within the organization, as evidenced by the presence of multiple husband and wife teams, some of whom are even managed by their spouse. Furthermore, the company's financial management has been questionable, resulting in the sudden cancellation of our health insurance without prior notice due to an alleged accounting error. In reality, the CEO, Heidi, acknowledged that the company had grown too rapidly and was forced to renegotiate premiums, citing 20 million dollars in outstanding accounts receivable as a possible outcome of neglecting overdue invoices.

Pros

Remote work is always great. The base salaries are fantastic, though it is a draw. Quarterlies are a ton of fun (wait for the catch).

Cons

To start, the spending is out of control. It has gotten to a point where Jobot couldn’t fit the Health Insurance bill and everyone is technically uninsured at the moment. We have been told the problem will be “rectified soon” but who knows. It should have never even gotten to this point with the amount of money thrown at the quarterlies. Heidi and team love to put out this image success, but it’s all a facade. While our industry as a whole has taken a hit this year, you would be shocked at our revenue numbers compared to the image they push out. More to talk about here - but that should really be enough.

Pros

Freedom to work your own schedule. Every other Friday off. They let you do your own thing without being micro-managed. Really helpful IT dept. They seem to promote a lot! See below for the cons with that.

Cons

Recruiters****They mislead you into thinking your salary is a salary. IT IS A DRAW!! Never mentioned in interviews or offer letter. It seems to be the norm and mgmt pretends to be oblivious that the vast majority are unaware until months after hired....when you expect a commission! Entire leadership is a bunch of yes men. No exceptions. CEO sends nonstop emails for people to post how phenomenal Jobot is and those can then be rewarded with points (to exchange for gift cards, etc) if you win/are selected. Pretty smart to create a buzz when everyone is posting Jobot is the best, but the employees just try to win things by doing that. Smoke and mirrors. Cult atmosphere...lots of Kool Aid...They will drill into you how amazing they are from day one. CEO has everyone thinking she is the greatest thing since sliced bread...it's really weird. Some recruiters seem to be making pretty good money...they promote fast and want the promoted to hire more recruiters under them. Not sure how good it feels to get a salary increase when you have to pay the salary back before making commissions though.
