Too many cooks in one team

lot of politics, people get promotions bases on how close they are to the manager and directors, talent/work is secondary. Only people who cannot get the jobs in other companies or if they are close to manager stick else very high attrition rate. Somuch of negativity that you can feel it, micro management on what you do and when you do, you need to explain to the manager. Keeps cribbing for giving leaves even when you have somany leaves available.

Worse is office politics, dont expect appraisal if you are not manager's favourite, they can ask you anytime to leave, late sitting is always appreciated, weekend working, too much of favouritism, Good people leave because of bad bosses. Good place if you are in any other team.
