Worst Company I've Ever Worked For

Pros

Short commute and that's it.

Cons

Poor pay and benefits. 50+ hours mandatory per week, horrible computer systems, nasty working environment like poor lighting, paint fumes, poor heating. Management too cheap to spend money on basic employee needs. Constant turnover, layoffs, or threat of layoffs due to poor sales. No real management just quick reactions to failures with threats and more overtime for salaried.

Pros

True Global company with talented team members at the headquarters located in Lemgo, Germany. Good health benefits.

Cons

Poor management that lacks leadership, vision, tools and understanding of standard business functions. Bad work environment. Employees are not treated as assets and often threatened or humiliated by management. Most employees are positive and want the company to do well but discouraged by the general manager who is constantly afraid of loosing his own job. Managing out of fear. A majority of employees are looking for opportunities elsewhere. This is not a place you want to work.

Pros

Compared to other companies, it is difficult to find something that is "best" about Isringhausen. Due to the smaller size of the company, it was necessary to perform more than one job/function so learning new things/skills was certain.

Cons

Expected work hours per week were 50+ hours with pay comparable to a 40 hour work week. The management treated everybody like a dollar value. Profit margin every month was expected to be 15% or better and if it wasn't made through sales, it was made through lay-offs. They have a very high turn over rate in both the office and factory personnel. I feel that since the turn over rate was so high, people did not care about their work and quality was suffering. I would not recommend working there nor would I recommend purchasing their product, at least not at the North American facility.
