Pros

opportunity to innovate, contribute and develop solutions that work best for bottom of pyramid; really nice work; opportunity to go to countries like Africa etc.

Cons

Horrible work life balance; management will ensure that you do not marry (if u are a bachelor) and do not have a happy family life (if u are married); high attrition rate and % of people who are married is very low; very poor employer stickiness; extremely slow vertical growth (unless you choose to dine, wine and have weekend fun with senior management people ); people are quite okay with shouting(with unparliamentary words at times) publicly to colleagues; no job security - it is wish of MD - if she wants, one can be thrown out immediately(it has happened with one of my colleague)

Pathetic workplace, not meant for experienced people

Pros

Nothing. They have made a mockery of "social impact" sector. Even if they are able to hire good talent, they are not able to retain them.

Cons

Leadership is the real problem here. Highly incompetent, hierarchical and method less. Strategies get formed on the fly and changed as easily. High level of casualness. Only fit for those who are able to suck up to the higher management and the promoter. Not a place for you if you have more than 5 years experience.

Pros

It has positioned itself very well in the industry and is a name everybody seems to have heard about, at least those in the sector. Some of the upsides: You will meet, interact, and maybe even work with absolutely amazing and inspiring social entrepreneurs Great platform to network with a variety of stakeholders across the country Good brand to carry in your CV Challenging projects to work on You will benefit from the cumulative although disparate sector knowledge lying in the company, if you navigate right Training ground to deal with people problems If you survive here for two years you can survive any place Efforts to keep a fun work environment through birthday and festival celebrations

Cons

Basically, the place lacks a healthy work environment due to lack of systems. Although it is a development sector organisation, it has murkier politics than any MNC. There are two kinds of people at Intellecap depending on their rapport with those who call the shots: 1-the handful happy lot who get promoted every 6 months (some even from entry level to lead/co-lead a business line) and 2-the others who may or may not move up the ladder every 2 years if they haven't already left. The way to get ahead in your career at Intellecap is sycophancy, they absolutely love those kinds there. It's commonplace to see your co-workers, immediate bosses or super-bosses shamelessly take credit for the effort of the team that has slogged through festivals and weekends. And you wouldn't blame them, it's necessary to survive here. That is because when it comes to appraisals and promotions, there is no transparency and fairness which contributes to thickening the bottom layer of negativity and dissatisfaction. This leads to a very frustrating work atmosphere naturally causing attrition: very common to see new faces every few months distorting the entire team's demographic composition and morale.
