Pros

Good wage to start, but that ends there

Cons

Management would need a rehaul for sure. Revolving door among employees, most employees have been there less than 2 years even though the company is like 30 years old, that says it all

One-man Show runs everything and is the root problem

Pros

Base salary, ABC benefits, good team members, nice office space, provided coffee and snacks, and free lunch once per month.

Cons

When I started, there was a red flag that I didn't understand, given the high base salary. The red flag was that 80% of the other employees had been there for 1 year or less and the company is 25 years old. I've been here for about a year now and I understand why now. One man runs the show and he is incompetent, greedy, dishonest, and egotistical, but he seems friendly and trustworthy on the surface level. Some notes about the one-man show: I shouldn't have to go to the president of the company to use facial recognition to authorize downloading Outlook or other apps on my work phone. I also shouldn't have to argue about why I need access to information about the software because I want to learn more about the software I'm selling before I try to sell it. I also shouldn't have to explain that if all we do to sell and market is cold calls, and we have bad reviews online and a bad website, that we look no different than the scam artists who spam our phones. I shouldn't have to explain that if you're looking for employees who have experience or education in their respective field, and you don't listen to their advice, you either messed up with who you hired, or you're messing up by not listening to them. In this case, knowing the type of advice being given, I would say the mistake is not listening. Finally, I shouldn't have to explain that a presidents job is to delegate, and not be the one to setup someone's work computer/work phone when there are angry customers who are waiting, and the only one who is trained on how to fix the problem is the president (because "it's easier and faster to do it myself instead of training someone"). Also, the work hours are 8-5 (9 hours) and in the office.
