Pros

working with residents is fun and you get to build a lot of good relationships. you get to do lots of cool things every day like going to see movies, hiking, cooking, shopping, going to parks, swimming, skiing, kayaking, going to the gym, fishing, golfing, chopping wood, gardening, building things and lots more. pay is good for the field and for north Idaho, especially with no/limited eudcation and you don't have to have experience in the field to get hired

Cons

work life balance is not good, super unpredictable schedule with very little notice (schedule is posted Friday evening for the week beginning Sunday) hours change frequently and sometimes in the middle of the week, and time off is usually not approved more than a week or two in advance. health insurance is really bad. lots of gossip within the program. lots of the vehicles we are required to drive are in poor shape and some feel unsafe to drive.

Pros

They are no positive things about working for this company.

Cons

I was hired at Innercept as a resident advisor. I was thrown into the job with absolutely no training whatsoever. I was given no guidance of any kind. And criticized heavily by management above me for breaking protocols that were never even explained to me. In my 2 weeks working there, I was verbally and physically assaulted by one of the residents while trying to save their life. I had to chase another resident down the road and walk with them for 3+ miles in the middle of the night. I went through all of this with no training given to me, and instead of any constructive criticism given back, or any positive feedback I was heavily criticized and told I was doing everything wrong. (I was being told this while STILL having not received any formal training) none the less I stayed and gave it my all even with the extreme hostility I was facing by one of the residents. I kept in close contact with my manager and tried to follow protocol to the best that I could with the very vague information I had been given on it. I even received positive feedback by my manger thanking me for doing my best, then 2 days later received an email about my termination. In the email, many things said were 100% false. This company will soon have no employees left with how they treat their staff. Even with giving everything I had, I was blindsided and fired under false accusations and comments made by a resident known to be volatile, manipulative, and known to lie. I was not spoken to at all or even given a chance to explain myself or stand up for myself. I was blindsided, and treated horribly by this company.
