In a word... Favoritism

Pros

If you're looking for a launching-pad for your first year after college, you can position yourself during your time at ICS to be more marketable in your next venture.

Cons

The culture at ICS can be very exclusive. If you're a part of the older/original team, you can do no wrong and will be recognized with opportunities for advancement/growth. Joining the team now means that you will be known by your productivity numbers and any merit you show beyond that is not likely to be taken into consideration. The room for you to be your own person and "run your desk like your own business" doesn't actually exist at ICS. You're expected to morph into the person that the ICS's training crushes you into being (with a trainer who enjoys making people cry); that person is brash, money-hungry, always one-upping coworkers, and superficial.

Best company to work for if you've never worked for any other company

Pros

Senior management team has great vision

Cons

Senior management has great vision but does not know how to implement that vision in a strategic way. Rowdy unprofessional work environment. I was surprised to see the owners making sexual innuendos to employees, people coming to work drunk after a "work meeting", lots of vulgar language and let's not forget the dances recruiters have to do when they make their first placement. Of course they won best employer to work. When the organization hires primarily 20 year olds' straight out of college, with no work experience, and has not seen what a true professional company is like, then of course they would rate ICS as best employer. However for the more mature, experienced recruiter ICS is one big joke with a frat boy culture and leaders that think they are 21 years old themselves.

Infinity Consulting Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, always fostering an environment of mutual respect and growth. We celebrate and demonstrate diversity both in letter and law. ICS employs and welcomes individuals of all ages and from every walk of life. Our community of employees and company culture is our competitive advantage as reflected in being named one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State the last two years running (by the Society for Human Resources Management) as well as a Great Place to Work® in 2015. Not only do our employees rave about us but so do our clients as shown by being named Inavero’s Best of Staffing for the past six years. One of our core values is “The Buzz”: We keep the buzz going by making room for a little fun. A high energy workplace leads to high quality results. As such, we celebrate our people by ringing the bell, placement dances, a yearly company trip to a tropical destination as well as compensating them above market. The driving force behind our success is ICS’ Senior Management team who understands how to marry strategy and execution, while keeping the spirit of "The Buzz", and fostering a spirit of mutual respect among our employees as well as the people within our community. We believe this is why ICS provides the best experiences in the staffing industry, as evidenced by the industry recognition we have received, specifically our placement on such prestigious lists as Crain’s 50 (To make the Fast 50, firms need four years in business and annual revenue of $10 million or more in that calendar year) and Inc. 5000 (an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies). Pros

Great place to start a career in sales/ recruiting with an adequate training program. Tight Knit group of colleagues

Cons

The employee retention at ICS is atrocious. With a fake "HR" department , i'm not surprised half of their recruiters have left. Although the company had a huge increase in revenue, they didn't seem to care that their recruiters and sales team were part of that success. Terrible commission structure and not to mention a huge draw that barely allows recruiters to see those commissions. They try to sell new recruits on the fact that they have happy hours and a huge company trip but for the past 2 years they have canceled the trip. Unless you are interested in sales there is no growth, and even then, it is difficult to get into sales because of the favoritism. The account managers who have been there for 5+ years are spoon fed most of the accounts and management's favorite recruiters are handed candidates. There is absolutely NO work life balance !!!!!!! You are expected to be in early and leave late, with no option to work from home. Although there is unlimited PTO, management yells when you take a day or two off. You can just tell from walking on the sales floor all the employees are burnt out and aggravated about the culture at ICS. Senior Management yells and screams on the sales floor making it almost impossible to hear or talk on the phone. Members of management have anger issues; curse and belittle employees in front of everyone. On multiple occasions I have seen fights on the sales floor, phone thrown off the desk, doors slammed and threats made. Even if employees were able to make unlimited commissions the office atmosphere is not worth the stress and aggravation.

Thank you for your feedback. Our workplace culture is a key to our success and one of the reasons why you’ve experienced a “tight knit group of colleagues”. The stewards of this culture is our exceptional Human Resources Department. Collectively, the team has over 40 years of experience in HR and are recognized experts in their field holding advances degrees in HR Management and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certifications. We are committed to providing a workplace that is free from harassment and strictly prohibits and does not tolerate or allow harassment by supervisors, managers and co-workers. If an employee experiences or observe any hostile conductor harassing behavior, or believe that you or another employee has been treated in an unlawful discriminatory manner, they must immediately report the matter (orally or in writing) to your supervisor or the Human Resources Department. The company will promptly and thoroughly investigate all charges of violations of this policy. Today’s staffing industry is a dynamic and highly competitive environment. Our employees understand this and sometimes must make themselves available to clients and candidates outside of normal operating hours for a breakfast meeting or nighttime networking event. So, if you are looking for a 9-5 job, this might not be the industry for you. One way ICS attracts and retains top talent is thought our generous total rewards program. This includes competitive base salaries, some of the high commission payouts in the industry and (as you mentioned) unlimited paid time off (PTO). In addition, employees have access to join the company sponsored health plan which includes medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, life insurance, flex spending accounts as well as 401(k) with company match! ICS participates in anonymous employee feedback surveys throughout the year to understand what we are doing right, and what we can improve. We’ve been on prestigious lists, such as Inavero’s Best of Staffing and Best Companies to Work For, but we never stop striving for excellence when it comes to our employees' experience. Thank you again for your feedback
