Cons

Low salary for experienced developers / experienced software engineers - AVOID this company if you're looking for a higher salary. In comparison to others they have the lowest or in the IT industry , NOT COMPETITIVE. You have to stay in the company for more than 3 years in order to be considered for a promotion (in rare cases 2 years). In most cases this renders the annual performance review of the employee into nothing. Quoting on the HR on my exit interview , "Just because you have many excellent ratings on your performance and excelled in leadership. It does not reflect a promotion". Please note I'm saying promotion and not progression. This is different in terms of Indra's ladder. Progression is actually very easy vs the promotion. Progression is like this. Junior Software Engineer - Level 1 becoming Junior Software Engineer - Level 2 Promotion is like this. Junior Software Engineer becoming Mid Level Software Engineer. There is an increase of salary in promotion. In progression , don't expect too much. Underappreciated , Project managers most of the time do not care to those under them. Only the team leads do. Possible slow career growth - depending on where you're assigned you may end up at a high growth team or a stagnant one. Core values and work principles - despite good intentions , most managements do not actually put them into practice. Micromanaging = Project Managers

Pros

The company environment seemed appealing in the beginning and there were some awesome people in the team.

Cons

The culture of the company is unacceptable, there are no work ethics and the management lacks any leadership skills. The Spanish influence is very negative and does not align with the British standards. There are no visible company values and as employees people are seen as numbers, not as human beings. Destructive atmosphere and demotivating work conducts.

Pros

Benefits package may be the best I've ever seen. Employees have the opportunity to select the benefits that best suit them -- i.e. reimbursements a plenty! Plenty of social activities such as sports fests, clubs, and company-wide parties.

Cons

Progression is slow and for some non-existent. With a short corporate ladder, many employees retain the same position for years. Promotions not only require years and experience but also require plenty of office politics. You'll hear stories where people falsify evaluations to keep others down. Some of the least qualified people who know the least about key topics are also seniors and managers only because they're well connected. Luck also plays a MAJOR factor in your experience. Depending on where you're assigned, you may have a good team with nice clients. However, if you're unlucky, you'll be miserable not only because you'll have a toxic work environment but also because your horrible teammates will decide whether or not you even get a raise per year. Feedback and evaluations are also WILDLY INCONSISTENT. Your senior (who is also your evaluator) might tell you to NOT do one thing only to SCOLD you for NOT doing it. Another senior may tell you to keep your communication to a minimum while another will say to constantly keep communicating. You also HAVE TO BE FRIENDS with your co-workers. If you even slightly dislike someone, it'll show up on your EVALUATIONS. I have NEVER seen a company include SOCIAL INTERACTION and FRIENDLY INTERACTIONS be part of their evaluations. Quiet and shy employees who can get the job done will SUFFER all because of who they are.
