Full Time Employee Who Plans to Stay

Pros

Great co-workers who are very technology-oriented. Management is more engaged now. Company is focused on the right business outcomes and not driving bottom-line contribution at all costs.

Cons

Management has not always kept the employees involved in business decisions. It's hard to process the implications of change decisions if we don't know the reasons for the changes.

Thank you “full time employee who plans to stay!” We’re always encouraged by those who feel a connection to their team and what they do. It means a lot. Over the last few years ISG Technology has been working towards communication plans which make sense. We’ve implemented a new intranet which allows us to maintain documents in one place so we can better share the combined knowledge of all our offices. There are regular communications about activities, initiatives, trainings, shot-outs, and so much more. These communications are not just with our ISG Team Members but with those in our sister companies; Twin Valley Telephone and Communications. We are holding regular companywide meetings which provide an open forum to ask questions of our leadership and gathering more often to celebrate achievement, raise awareness about new business avenues, and we are partnering with those who do the work day in and day out to make impactful decisions. It’s not an easy road in which we travel but we have some pretty amazing people working here and we’re thankful for each of them!

Keep focusing on the vision and share with all the team. Allow opportunities for advancement and continue focusing on customer collaboration and services.

A mess but with some good people

Pros

Ability to work from home when needed. Some good people who are willing to give you their time if you need assistance. PTO is fairly generous and benefits are given day 1. The CEO seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

Cons

Pay is below average and raises don't exist. Account executives run the company and are allowed to make promises to customers and sign contracts without verifying if we can actually deliver on those promises. The fallout for being unable to deliver falls on the support team rather than the account executives who oversold. Support center is very understaffed and can't keep up with ticket and call volume, and the company seems utterly unwilling to increase head count as more customers are added, only sometimes replacing people when they leave. Tier 2 has been put on the phone queue because tier 1, due to lack manpower, can't keep up. Tier 2 is now responsible for tier 1 and tier 2 work, answering incoming calls, and no extra pay for the added responsibility. HR is unresponsive and took 6 months to hire in a highly-qualified candidate for an open position who had already been selected to fill it that we desperately needed filled.
