Pros

ICAT (as a company) tries very hard to work well within the market, and please its customers. The company (as a whole) has a heart that is in the right place and means to do well within their own physical community, business partners, customers and outside supporters.

Cons

The claims department is an absolute disaster on nearly every level. They create an atmosphere of intimidation, bully and stress the likes to which are unparalleled in the business. Simply put, they do not care about their employees in the claims department (period). It shows in the way Examiners are treated by management; middle and upper management will throw you under the bus whether you're right or wrong to save themselves. An atmosphere of subterfuge and lies. There are a lot of good Claims Examiners over there and none of them are treated with dignity or respect....it's sad, and unfortunate that ICAT chooses to behave in this way within the claims department.

Pros

The U/W, IT and HR departments are excellent, intelligent and work very hard. They would be an asset to any company.

Cons

The prior claims examiner comments are 100% correct. Boulder Claims should stop calling Independent Adjusting companies their "partners" as they are no such thing. This gives them the okay in their minds to not produce a quality product which happens nearly all the time. The IA firms work for ICAT as vendors and should be treated as such. They make great money and should produce a quality product. They can threaten leaving ICAT when they get questioned about the quality of a work product and upper management gets on the examiner and not the IA firm. Very unprofessional.
