I was attracted to working for Hybrid because the MD was great at talking it up during my interview. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that what looked good on paper didn't quite measure up in reality. My strongest concern while I was working there (and what ultimately pushed me to leave), was the MD's utter lack of ethics and principles, which bled into the company's and staff's practices. Rather than encouraging and empowering employees, the MD utilized tactics used by classic narcissists, such as gaslighting and public shaming, to wear them down and keep them in line. The MD also had the tendency to fire anyone as he pleased, often without due warning. This toxic work culture had a negative impact on employee welfare – not that the company particularly cared about that, either.

Turnover super high due to bad management. Colonizer mindset is still within the corporation. You are only there to execute like a robot and they dont allow you to give any feedback or chance to grow. The company willing to spend triple on flying their best puppet around the world to "manage" the team in KL rather than having a local expert managing the team. Looking at the team currently, there are team members that have been there for more than 5 years, and still on the same grade. I rest my case.
