A company that invests in you.

Pros

Really show they are interested in you and what you offer. A great training program in place. The people you work with make all of the difference and the team I worked with in particular made my time enjoyable. There are career opportunities and reward for your hard work if targets are met. Management have worked hard to have a clear structure in place for development and growth. To sum up: a good opportunity to work in a company that values and invests in people.

Cons

Salary - like most recruitment companies, but they have a team bonus in place if targets met and do where possible reward hard work. (There are also achievable career development opportunities.) Hours - again like most recruitment companies, but they do offer an early finish once a week.

Horrible culture and lots of micro management

Pros

Now, I did work here a good few years ago, but I have friends who still work there and confirm it hasn’t changed much. If you want to work for an agency who are “lads”, don’t mind working to strict KPI’s and being publicly mocked then this is the right place for you.

Cons

KPI driver, micro management, doesn't seem to be any real direction from senior management

Firstly, thank you for your feedback. It’s always really useful to hear comments from our current and former employees. We’re really sorry that you didn’t have a good experience of working at Huntress a some years ago, as you say, but I can assure you, we have changed immensely since the appointment of our CEO, Chris Leeson in early 2014. While, with any sales driven business, it’s important to work in a structured way with clear goals and targets, we also make sure these are realistic and most importantly achievable. Our commission scheme also ensures that the harder our people work, the more reward they receive, as our commission is uncapped. From feedback that we’ve gathered over the years from our trainee Consultants, this has empowered them to grow and develop their business and we now have a clear career path where anyone can be promoted very quickly if they have the ambition. We also adopt a more flexible approach with consultants who are more experienced and the KPIs are used more as a reference.

Pros

Fantastic training programme CEO is absolutely fantastic, and always has an open door for his employers Great incentives and rewards Lots of recognition for hard work Fun environment

Cons

Micro management A lot of meetings for the sake of having a meeting Far too KPI'd focussed rather than focussing more on filling jobs Certain managers do not listen, and are constantly breathing down your neck Make you feel like you are not valued if one KPI isn't hit instead of offering support Micro management again
