Pros

Nothing really comes to mind

Cons

This company is very corrupt from the top-down. It is family owned with the father being the owner and the sons/daughter being VP's, but they all have their own agendas and do not work together. Management CLEARLY has favorites and is VERY unprofessional. People come into work high/ drunk with weapons and nothing is said about it. If you are a woman or have an administrative position, you are not valued in the company, yet they claim that they are a "woman owned business"(I'm pretty sure the woman owned part is only there for tax breaks). One VP grabs women's arms and calls them "bad kitties". You are always "promised" with an opportunity to move up, but they never follow through with anything that they say. They are not loyal to you at all and do not care about any of their employees. Management has a very much "do as I say, not as I do" attitude. Also, I am pretty sure that a couple of the "5 star" reviews are from upper management so that they keep their rating higher on Glassdoor. I talk to many people from the company from all different sides and not one of them has anything good to say about it.

Our apologies ...if you are in fact a "former employee"....and the work environment appeared this way, to you. We are in fact , a privately held, woman owned business...and there is no tax break for that. There are woman in very highly esteemed positions in this company, from Engineers to Director and all of the disciplines throughout the 220 people on our team. The average tenure at Hughes Circuits is 10 years , with many people on our team with over 22 yrs of service. We frequently hire employee family members...which speaks to our dedication to the betterment of our workforce. We can assure anyone reading this: There are no drunk people here with weapons.... a very serious accusation and patently false. Hughes Circuits, invests heavily in the betterment of our work culture... This is evidenced by our incredible growth and the dedication of our team members over the past 23 years.

Pros

They hire with no experience and have overtime.

Cons

The fake reviews on here are very obvious and it's kind of sad that management would rather pretend problems don't exist than try to fix them. Trust the bad reviews on here. Starting pay is low and growth is slow. It's difficult to make friends because somewhere around 1/3 of new people are gone within 2 weeks, and another 1/3 are gone within 3 months. So you really can't expect to have a career here. If you need a job for a couple months it might be ok, but have a backup plan

Starting salary is commensurate with experience. We have a lower-than-average turnover rate and many of our 220+ employees have over 10 years of tenure...many with 15 -23 years. There are many career-oriented people here that have contributed to our 10% growth year over year.
