Pros
Fridge is always stocked with sandwich supplies. Generous parking reimbursement. Flexibility with working remotely.
Cons
Hubb fell drastically short of its goals last year, which resulted in layoffs of roughly 10 employees in October 2019. Morale at the office is pretty awful. Some folks work 70-100 hours a week (no joke) during “event season.” I don’t think a single employee actually enjoys working at Hubb. Since the aforementioned layoffs, 7 employees have voluntarily left for other jobs. Very disappointing, as Hubb was apparently once a positive work environment. As a platform, Hubb is incredibly flawed. It’s non-intuitive and requires a TON of new user training. The sales team seems to have a hard time selling the product, and I don’t exactly blame them. There is constant internal disagreement about the startup’s vision and strategy. Miscommunication is rampant. There is next to no internal training for employees. Trite and meaningless adages like “well, that’s startup life” were often used as a response to the utter lack of management. Just because it's a startup doesn't make it ok to have an utter lack of structure to this degree.
