Pros

I did my winter and summer season in 2015 (I was unable to select a date later than 2019 for this review). During my winter season with Ski Total, I could not fault much at all. The team were overall great, I enjoyed my work, the manager was very good at her job although strict, but this meant I had very professional training with high standards. I had accommodation, travel to and from the resort, uniform, and meals paid for (but it did mean I only earnt around £250 a month).

Cons

During my winter season: I was contracted for 36 hours but ended up doing 60-70 and was told to never reveal how many hours we actually did to guests. The accommodation was very basic with no working oven, only a grotty microwave and mini fridge. Other staff would always play loud music in the early hours of the morning and would not always look after the place we stayed. Hours were very long and I often had to skip dinner in order to greet and serve guests after a whole day of cleaning rooms. During my summer season with Inghams: Absolutely terrible, the manager had no idea how to run a hotel (she had a degree in History) and I was bullied by her and harassed by the chef she was mates with. I raised this issue but nothing was resolved, she just ignored me and continued to bully me and let the chef continue to touch me and fart at me during dinner service in the kitchen. She made me clean up sick off the floor. She also called me a 'social spastic' because I didn't enjoy going out drinking with her and the other team members and getting drunk on my one day off a week. She was horrible and I had to leave in the end because I knew the issue would never be fixed. This woman should have been fired, but I was unable to report her awful behaviour because I needed physical evidence, and I felt if I asked any other team members she'd just turn them against me. Another member of staff apparently skiied down a slope naked past guests and was somehow allowed to keep his job, and was then sent to my resort to be the assistant manager that summer. Not sure why the company let these kinds of people to run a hotel.
