If you take care of your project teammates and the customers, you'll do fine.
Pros
Some really great people I've gotten to work with over the last 5+ years. Projects have been interesting and offered growth opportunities professionally and personally. As long as I can work on good projects and deliver good work for customers, I'm happy (even if there's normal stress involved as you push towards go-live sometimes.) - It's only when I have to deal with corporate nonsense that it gets stressful.
Cons
HR is a disaster - probably by far the weakest link in the company. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by assuming the company is looking out for your 'self-actualization' / personal fulfillment. As far as HR is concerned, you are a line-item on a resource spreadsheet. Don't be caught off-guard when they treat you as such.
