Pros

Hines may look impressive from the outside, but behind the polished brand lies a culture of chaos, and confusion. It’s a family-run business where profit and favoritism outweigh people and purpose. There’s no long-term vision — no 3-year or 5-year strategy, and meetings often happen without any real agenda or outcome. Leadership appears disconnected from reality, making impulsive decisions that shift priorities daily. Talented employees end up frustrated and undervalued, while politics and personal connections determine who moves ahead. For professionals seeking structure, merit-based growth, and a forward-thinking environment — Hines will test your patience, not your potential.

Cons

Hines is a family owned business, they just think about their profit, highly mismanaged, extreme politics and they don't know what they are doing, no 3 year or 5 year plans, no agenda for meeting

Pros

Nice office. Great location. Well-known brand. Cusion job.

Cons

Toxic culture. Extremely political. HR is a joke. Most of the people here are not smart. They are insecure when competent one joins the company so they bully these people out. Very sad culture.

Pros

The hybrid schedule was great and there was no micromanagement depending on who you reported to. My coworkers were amazing and many of them became real friends.

Cons

After a major company change, the work became extremely stressful. Many people were unsure of what we were supposed to be doing, and overtime became the norm. It started to affect my mental health. There were large layoffs, and the environment quickly became chaotic with poor direction. Even upper management seemed unsure of expectations but still wanted everything done.

Used to be a great firm

Pros

Culture is great. People are nice. Used to be a great firm with great training. Everything changed after the reorg in 2025,

Cons

I no longer view this as the great firm it once was. The recent reorganization has had a significantly negative impact on the Accounting and Finance groups. The transition process appeared rushed and poorly planned, resulting in the termination of essential staff without adequate training or transfer of responsibilities. Consequently, the remaining Accounting and Finance teams are now dealing with extremely heavy and often unsustainable workloads. This high pressure has directly contributed to a noticeable and concerning increase in turnover within the accounting department.
