Amazing Benefits and Strong Culture

Pros

- Generous benefits (health, PTO, 401k, bonuses) - Kind people - Beautiful and well-made product, proud to work for the company - Focus on CSR - Corporate and store teams work well together

Cons

- Compensation is not competitive, and salary increases are extremely low even when the company has record-breaking profits. Difficult to recruit top-talent and disappointing for hard-working employees. - Limited growth opportunities - Benefits and culture are so strong that it can feel hard to leave, even when pay is below market rate or team members are looking for growth - Many open positions and the managers hiring for them are so busy (and budgets so low) that it is hard to fill those roles

An environment run on fear

Pros

Extravagant employee holiday parties and you are surrounded by beautiful products..

Cons

It's a work environment run on fear. Management is worried about making errors, creating an environment where people walk on pins and needles in fear of losing their jobs. This is particularly true with the selling of handbags and all the rules that apply. It is a stressful day to day transaction for the salespeople and clients. This takes away from the luxury experience, creating doubt among seasoned clients and those who wish to become good clients of the house. Favoritism exists among managers and salespeople and among salespeople and clients. Stressful, damaging, negative, immoral enviornment.

Pros

The only good thing about working there are the staff sales, yearly bonuses and dental insurance

Cons

Where do I start? The most disorganized store with no leadership and extremely poor management, if you can call it that! Bond street leadership is absolutely clueless and useless and constantly runs to head office for guidance, unable to make a decision. You'd think being on a 100k salary will enable you to make decisions, I guess not. Other management in that store equally terrible- instead of being on the shop floor monitoring staff and customers, they are too busy making cups of coffee in the back office or having a chat. Or being permanently stuck in the toilet. Head office are even worse- they know all of the above is going on but yet still turn a blind eye. I guess it suits them to have a puppet in charge. Too many have been there too long and are too comfortable. HR are a bunch of venomous vipers, taking delight and pleasure in humiliating people. Breaching data protection laws by exposing employees email addresses and sending other employees payslips to the wrong people, this is just a brief overview! Internal head office positions are filled quickly and not advertised fairly. They want to keep shop floor people in store and don't give any opportunities to develop or change roles because they don't consider anyone working in store as good enough. Shop floor staff break their back running around and unable to even take a toilet break while Head office are working from home. Says it all.

Pros

Excellent product. Great coworkers. Decent benefits.

Cons

Management is a mess, HR is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Cult-like atmosphere. Retaliatory and petty actions towards hardworking lower staff. People are treated like cheap possessions.
