Shiny Topcoat Corrosive Underneath

Pros

Impossible to say due to constantly revolving door of regional leadership. Some bright spots in the last 5 years but they have left or been asked to leave. Pay is decent.

Cons

Job Security - minimal, don't expect a career but they are often in desperate need of warm bodies in Sales, so if looking for a "rebound role" it may be a choice. Career Path - 100% Denmark focused. All regional leaders of value have left or asked to leave. Don't expect to be promoted if not from Europe or willing to live there. Leadership - global leadership cannot be trusted in messages to regional teams. Will easily "shift strategy" and adjust narrative. Asked for feedback and completely ignore responses. HR - seems to be complete lack of awareness of what is happening at corporate level, including layoffs and significant strategic shifts.

Pros

There is nothing good about working for hempel

Cons

This place is like a highschool... No worse.. the bosses are in on it too. They are not people you want to have as co workers. They lie, and steal. And talk about you MONTHS at a time. They never let you defend yourself about anything. They will fire you on the spot for no reason after making promises to other people. The side bosses under Mark, are a JOKE!! They play favorites like no other. There is no structure, hours change daily, work load is not evenly divided up to anyone in the building. Promise to hire in full time ( after the hiring freeze ) and when you start asking questions they fire you. There is NO way to advance in the company.

Good colleagues, extremely bad management

Pros

Colleagues are very nice and helpful. Good work-life balance in Denmark office, with a lot of flexibility.

Cons

Bad management - they are laying off good people in order to stay competitive and still expect to grow. Talk a lot about diversity, inclusion and sustainability, but that’s all talk.. there’s no concrete action. Will definitely not recommend to a friend to a friend or go back.
