Pros

-Paid for first attempt at certs. -Used to have good people to work with, but the either left or were fired

Cons

-Management posting reviews as a "systems administrator" in order to artificially inflate reviews and discredit other reviewers as "sour grapes". -High turn over due to poor management. -7 people were fired or left on less than desirable terms out of 13 in the company in less than 10 months. -Putting under experience employees into roles beyond their scope of experience. -Treating salary employees like hourly employees and not providing comp time when a project takes extra time past a shift. -Conflicting "policies" among management. -Questionable billing and accounting practices with purchasing and reselling of non-profit donations back to the company that qualifies for the donation at an incredible markup from the processing fees of techsoup. -Management showing up to work intoxicated and smelling of alcohol on occasion. -No reaction to being informed that software licensing is being violated as part of a sold product. -Salesman bragging that he is selling software solutions that he admits not to have gone through the training and knows nothing about because "people like him" and he can sell anything. -Sitting in a meeting with a client while the salesman is giving wrong technical info to the client because they dont known the product and misrepresent it. -Incredibly poor documentation that management wants non technical interns to translate into a new documentation platform -Company shaming reports sent out daily to show everyone who has low numbers -Multiple managers emailing about the same issues -Company meetings where the sales team requests employees give favorable review for "best place to work" or to not leave one at all -Management doesnt adhear to their own company values -Poor contracts, everything is an exception with no real standards -Company compares employee performance to dissimilar companies that are better structured and expects the same results. -Employee wages are low compared to company income in contracts and hourly rates being billed for their time -The list continues but I dont want to keep going.

We’ve had a very successful 15 year history with great employees and creating a workplace rated as one of Hawaii’s Best Workplaces. We value professionalism and helpfulness - our business practices are transparent to team members contrary to this review. We’ve done our best to be professional and still wish this past employee the best.

Pros

- Great co-workers besides management - Learned a lot from other engineers and analysts that were helpful - Made some good contacts in the field

Cons

- Management is manipulative - This is an extremely toxic work environment - I would recommend brushing up on employment laws before you consider working at a company like this. You will be taken advantage of by management if you are not careful - Opinions and feedback are not welcome - No comp time with very long work hours - Sales team makes promises to clients that are not reasonable and expects techs and engineers to magically make them happen - Core values are an acronym for HITECH....lol (By definition I cannot see core values falling into place as an acronym for the company name) - btw these are extremely hypocritical values

Pros

Some former coworkers, medical, dental, eventually paid vacation

Cons

Unpleasant and at times hostile work environment, very toxic, favoritism is apparent and blatant, bad communication within the company notably among the management group. Unrealistic expectations for existing client service and support. There were not enough employees to complete the work for existing customers. Overtime work is expected daily/weekly for salary exempt employees. Opposing or disagreeing with management ideas or presenting your own ideas is frowned upon and often resulted in punitive action. Management themselves do not adhere to their own core values. The majority of the management team were under-qualified to lead effectively and efficiently. Management made up nearly half of the company at the time. Don't let the smiles of some of the grapes remaining fool you. Behind those smiles are deceit, fraud and cover ups. They don't do well by their clients(specifically non-profits) or their employees. They often push untested, unverified and unsupportable solutions. There is no transparency. Fulfilling contractual obligation is a myth at this company. Being honorable and trustworthy in their business practices are traits they don't believe in.

We value professionalism, helpfulness, and honesty so unfortunately we did not see these traits in this former staff member. To address the cons, we urge our employees to stay within 40 hours per week and recognize those who go beyond to meet the needs of the team in career advancement. Listening to the concerns of our employees is one of our top priorities and decision making is based on industry best practices. We're sorry their opportunity with our team was unpleasant and it's unfortunate that their negative outlook led them to believe what they've written in their review. We wish them the best in their future. We’ve done our best to be professional and still wish this past employee the best.
