Pros

Sales consultants can sell products from all of the owned dealerships regardless of which specific location they are based. Large potential pool of salable vehicles to offer a client. Several excellent managers and the senior leadership team is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the business. The Hansel people...know what works well for the owners and execute a gameplan that reflects their long experience in the car business.

Cons

Too many sales people at any given location. This is 100% commission sales so you end up competing with fellow sales staff for potential client sales routinely. Especially challanging when the walk in traffic is erratic or if your not a person who has been at a specific location say more than 2 years to have a sold referral client base to generate sales from. Typical of the car business, but for the hours worked, it is the fundamental barrier for a new sales person joining the organization and working to generate a sustainable solid income.

Pros

Good processes. Very organized. Reputable.

Cons

Huge lack of equity and inclusion, especially in management. For example, you could be doing the same job as another leader but the company won’t give you reign to make decisions in your dealership (let alone the same title) even if you are performing ab identical role, operationally, as another manager. I had to double my productivity (in units) to keep my job in the first 30 days. The person I was hired to replace was producing less than half the units I was as a manger that but still had a job there with great flexibility….. Fortunately, with my talent and team building skills I was able to meet that minimum I was given and make that the new standard for the store. After consistently reaching unit goals and taking the dealership into 6 figure gross for the first time in over six years, I was only given more oversight, micromanagement, and condescending dynamics with these “leads”. A “lead” manager is supposed to be someone you can look up to and trust. My lead was not only another manager performing the same job, but outperformed in almost every major category. This “lead/supervisor” had poor team culture in his dealership, and would often just not show up for work some days.
