This is what is tough. Morale is always prioritized but that leads to the employees constantly walking on eggshells and fearing having a bad day because negative thoughts aren’t tolerated. There’s disparity in what employees can get away with, and the standards are different for each employee. Some employees get a success plan and some don’t if sales goals are not met. There is very rarely any wiggle room to explain why your performance is the way it is, good or bad, and the fear of former bad employees leads to an extremely quick trigger (for some people). Absolutely ZERO work/life balance. Your company phone better be glued to your hip or you’ll run into problems. It’s stated as a 9-5 job M-F, but if you aren’t working Saturdays or even Sundays it will be held against you even if management says “this isn’t required, but if you want to be successful…” Company really only likes you when you are producing, but doesn’t care about you if production dips, and god forbid they try to get to the reason why
