Pros

Lots of FTSE 100 clients Early finish on Friday

Cons

Party culture is very dated and they attempt to cover it up but it is tolerated by senior management. There is far too much cocaine in the mix. Very few women in senior positions in the company. This is a male dominated environment. The senior management team are liable to spontaneously combust if they hear anyone talking about KPI's. 'We don't have KPI's - they are called Outputs' . Obsessed with telephone times so many junior consultants call overseas candidates to bump them up. Everyone does that. Not uncommon to see people drunk In the office in the afternoons. The early finish on Fridays effectively turns the week into a 4 day week as people party so hard on a Thursday. This results In a school like atmosphere Mon- Thurs with constant comments and pressure around KPI's.

Pros

The experience, early Friday finishes, the CEO's EA is incredible (often forgotten/not given enough recognition in my opinion). Very few decent, hard working and credible people.

Cons

Heavy drug/drink culture, collegiate mentality even at senior management level, very inscestuous (everyone sleeps with everyone) those not deemed "important" are overlooked and not well respected.

Pros

Discounted skiing and Ibiza trip annually.

Cons

Alcohol fuelled culture where you are pressurised to participate in team bonding and there are so many little 'cliques' within the team that it doesn't feel natural or enjoyable. The many awards and list of benefits will reel you in no doubt but as soon as you are in, the reality of team politics will kick in and it is simply not a good environment to work in. I loved it at the start and was told at every 121 that my performance is great and then suddenly was dropped from the team without warning or a chance to improve (despite having a 121 a week or so ago where no concerns were raised and I was only praised). No mistakes were made, no projects messed up - simple discrimination due to not fitting in culturally potentially. Looking back, I can have a much better view that I did have a good start and it was very organised in terms of having business cards and desk ready to go and the perks are good when you are new to them but overall the cons definitely outweighed the pros for me and an unfair dismissal left a bad taste in my mouth. I was also forwarded an email after my dismissal and my manager had bad mouthed me to the whole company which I felt was unfair but it is what it is.
