Pros
Fellow teachers are great! They’re very kind and helpful. Great staff in the admin as well, always willing to give you support.
Cons
The class sizes are very big and you will deal with lots of students on IEPs. Classroom management is always highly criticized and stressed. You will be evaluated twice a year. It tends to be the yearly contention by teachers due to the moving standards. The management and expectations of teachers will little support makes it very stressful and I noticed there is lots of turnover yearly. This school definitely has a dynamic of inner politics between staff and departments. If you’re not close with those in charge, you will be disappointed and frustrated with being stepped on. It’s a small school and brings a very niche group of individuals to it. If you’re not a part of their type, it will be hard to adjust and make long lasting working relationships.
