Horrible leadership and poor retention

Pros

They're really good at getting the friends and family of the CEO and COO to write fake 5 star reviews. They'll give you a really fancy title. You'll probably get a t-shirt.

Cons

Where to start? Leadership is by far the worst I have experienced in my long professional career. CEO is clueless, President is the CEO's dad/wallet, COO is beyond inappropriate and often makes comments that should never be made in the workplace. They're on their 4th CTO in 3 years. HR + that leadership are enablers to cover up the gross mismanagement of the company and fires anyone who has the audacity to verbalize concern over the hundreds of inappropriate actions and remarks of leadership. If you read any review here that isn't a fake 4/5 star, you'll see the same commentary repeatedly. Believe it. Some incredible professionals have come and gone over the years, and they'll all tell you that they were overworked, underpaid, and mistreated at every turn. The only employees that does not apply to are the friends and family of the c-suite. They'll tell you it's a fast-paced environment, but what they mean is that they want you to do the impossible, with minimal resources, in an unrealistic timeline. If you don't you are verbally abused, threatened, and best case scenario, fired. They'll promise bonuses to everyone and only pay them out to the inner circle (friends & family), they'll reprimand and fire you for taking PTO, sick time, or not responding to emails or calls while on PTO/sick time. The technology is essentially duct-taped together and subpar to what they advertise. Their white label products are exact replicas of branded products they sell, that are sent to China for manufacturing. Their warehouse is a mess and they treat warehouse staff like literal scum. It's no wonder their retention and employee satisfaction are abominable.

Pros

The individual, hands-on folks I worked with are excellent, too bad their voices never get heard and a lot of them left because of the toxic workplace

Cons

If I could rate less than 1 in diversity, inclusion, senior management and culture then I would. Six (6) people I worked with gave notice in the last 2 weeks after the C-suite fired their 3RD CTO (!) and the COO told the team they 'wouldn't understand' the reasons why the C-suite came to that decision. The COO has spewed racist, sexist remarks almost daily to various team members across various departments, and the CEO and President (who is the CEO's father) just turn a blind eye and are therefore complicit. They don't trust the tech experts to provide input, help guide deadlines, and anyone who shows the slightest bit of thought leadership is deemed 'a cancer'. Run far away from this company because that's what I plan to do - anyone tech works like a dog and has no growth opportunities.

Pros

Their office is very nice looking and most of the people who work there are very dedicated and hard-working. For a while they tried to engage employees with team activities, but that ended a long time ago.

Cons

If you’re not friends/family with the Owners, or if you don’t gossip with the HR, you’re screwed. The nepotism and favoritism is beyond anything I’ve ever seen in any company I’ve ever worked in. They treat their employees like crap. They’re always threatening to fire everyone, and they often do. It’s very rare that anyone lasts over 1 year. Some of the notable things they’ve done include firing all of their warehouse staff before major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas). They have also fired SEVERAL people for not working/ answering emails when they’re out on PTO/Sick Time. C-Level management often make incredibly inappropriate remarks that are wrapped in joking undertones meant to mask racially and sexually inappropriate content. It makes a lot of people uncomfortable, and yes we have discussed this as a group. From what I have seen their Warehouse seems unsafe and like it wouldn’t meet most OSHA standards. They have no set safety standards or operations. They change their minds daily on what we’re supposed to be doing, and then write up employees for not knowing what’s going on. HR is a complete joke. Gossiping about employees and talking down to others in the most condescending and unprofessional tone imaginable. There is no “human” just resources thrown at the wall in an attempt to mask the ineptitude of their people skills. Their technology is often a mess and processes are repetitive and redundant. They get the cheapest possible software and then blame the employees for being inaccurate or inefficient.
