      The pay rate was very good. The team worked well together and the training was good........i really enjoyed working there.

      Cons

      On the bar you pretty much end up doing every job front of house which can get crazy. You help all departments but dont tend to get help when you have drinks checks coming out of your ears.......

      Staff food, nice enough colleagues, hour long break on double shifts, working in sections where each waiter has one section to look after

      Cons

      Virtually no income from 'Tronc'. The hourly rate was fine (minimum) but the thing that angered me was the fact that there is virtually nothing paid to the waiter from service charge. Fair enough to share it out but DEFINITELY should be shared EQUALLY. Almost all of it was given to assistant managers to pay them (GM exempt from Tronc). I had a terrible time at Giraffe, and would advise anyone thinking about it to AVOID!

      If you find a good team can be fun. Hard work

      Cons

      Ridiculous forced staffing levels from head office. G.M too busy serving tables to efficiently run service. Frequently only G.M is to save hours. Assistant managers paid from service charge and tips.
