Pros

Some very brilliant colleagues. Market leading transactions.

Cons

Pigeon-holed. Silo team environment (you will only ever do one type of work, for one partner). Very toxic culture. Many very disillusioned colleagues. Many archaic views around women in the workforce in particular. Personal leave not respected (whether it’s for holidays, as a carer or any other reason). Not enough resources. No emotional support. Clients come first at all costs.

Lofty aims but commitment patchy

Pros

Diversity is embraced and valued and there is a great parental leave policy. The firm is also flexible about leave of absences and return to work after leave.

Cons

The Firm has lofty aims and values and those are engaged with by some pockets of the firm but there are rogue groups. Without a firm ally you will not progress as there is no defined career path.
