Pros

The benefits are excellent - employer paid health insurance (for single plan) is certainly a strong selling point. As far as technology worked on and used, it's top-notch.

Cons

Management has endemic problems with regard to employee trust and communication. In terms of software-shop style, this is definitely a "Command and Control" structure. Employees are not given opportunities for career advancement. Turnover in the software development department is high (>80%) and contributes to low morale.

Pros

Great location at the heart of Midtown

Cons

No vision. Senior managment is not visonary and they try to command and control It a sweatshop Managemeny hires inexperienced college graduated to pay them low and have them work long hours We cant look for a job as we need to give two week advancr notice to get two hours vacation HR is so noisy and you need to explain why you want to take a time off. Lots of clicks High employee turnover Lots of gossips and HR tries to elicit rummors from employees Lots of yelling As employees are leaving, managment passed a circular that employers have to give two week in advance vacation request. One cant even take a half day off as management didnt want employees to look for a job and go for interview. If you make two or three call sick, they think that you are looking for a job and they will show you the door Many people are leaving the company Geofields's sister company Routematch has inherent problems Salary is very low from the industry standard They expect you to work 14 hours a day for seven days Missing many software releases due to lack of leadership.
