Pros

none, terrible place to work

Cons

Abusive hostile environment Racist against white people Lousy healthcare benefits, which is interesting since this is a health insurance company and healthcare provider Speaking of being a healthcare provider, for some specialties, you can wait for 6-8 months for an appointment People with histories of harassment promoted to managerial positions Loyal workers laid off for "economic reasons" while top administration make multi-million dollar compensation packages - but they "regret" the layoffs - as they deposit their latest biweekly check that is more than an entire year's salary for most employees Unethical workplace

Pros

In the middle of nowhere so they have monopoly on healthcare in the area.

Cons

They run the hospital and clinics like a corporation. Layoffs without notice. Poor leadership and administration that do not look at themselves, but fire frontline workers before taking a salary cut or decreasing the number of managers/execs. Shady practices with no clear communication to providers, staff, or the community.

Pros

Big machine, leading in research, employs a lot of people in the area. Too big to fail.

Cons

Employees are always kept at lowest end of salary range, especially women and minorities. Theres small group of favorites. Managers take credit for your work to advance, constantly offering false hope to keep you "engaged." The people who are left at the place --- and they are cutting many MANY jobs --- either ate their young to survive or are very good at hiding and taking a beating. They blew through an enormous budget with nothing to show and now layoffs are every other day. Managers have lists of expendable people -- no longer people but positions and numbers. They culled the young to keep their big titles and laugh with pompous candor at the meanderings of the minions. It's the most awful experience that required therapy while working there and after working there. Most people in marketing are not actually from the area the hospital serves. They look down upon the people here like bugs under a psychotic kid's burning magnifying glass. The psychological damage is real. Would never recommend to a friend. An enemy, likely.
