Pros

Only pro is working with the kids.

Cons

Everything. Management is disorganized. Schedules are inconsistent. No training. All they give you is a bag full of junk and expect you to entertain the kids with that junk. I was scheduled on a “holiday” (superbowl) to a new client, the address was incorrect so I contacted the number for the parent with no answer, then proceeded to call and text management for support, only for them to contact me back the next day. Oh yeah, THE PAY SUCKS. Minimum wage, I would rather be folding clothes or flipping burgers where at least I would have a more consistent paycheck. Clients cancel at the last minute even after you are scheduled little hours. Don’t work here, they hire anyone because they are desperate but then treat you like crap. No wonder why they are so desperate. I recommend looking into RBT, most jobs will train you to be certified so then you know how to interact with the kids, plus the starting pay is higher and you have a way better chance of advancement.

Pros

As a caregiver (part time position) this place may be good place to start your career in the medical field or child care field while attending school. I would say you would cap out here of experience and learning at around 6 months mark at max.

Cons

Terrible management. Husband pretty much handed down business to the boss here Gabriella Straus. Very strange "family" employee hierarchy where the longer you work here the more seniority you have. I was personally in the HR department (One man show HR department..) and the turnover rate here was ridiculous. Management loves to play favorites and point finger games instead of trying to resolve problems as a team. Again referring back to the "family" like hierarchy, the management (Gabriella) instead of resolving issues directly with the employee at hand, loves to talk behind people's backs with senior employees prior to resolving the issue at hand. Just overall very unprofessional. While working here it felt like I went backwards back to high school and was in a popularity contest all over again. If you thrive in this type of environment be my guest but I wouldn't recommend working here to my worst enemy (unless of course as mentioned above you're trying to build a resume to work in a child care/medical field in the future).

Pros

It helped me mature and grow as a person. Made me aware of what people with special needs go through. I also became very good with freeways and how to get to places.

Cons

Office/management does not care about employees or work employees do. They mess up pay and mileage all the time. They will schedule 3 hour shifts at places that are too far from home(over 1 hour drive..not worth it). You will encounter rude parents who basically see you as a servant..Pay is not good enough to put up with any of that. If you need time off, office will make it very hard for you to get it off...I pretty much had to make up crazy lies to get the time off. Office staff is pretty new so communication with employees is terrible..they will change your schedule last minute and a lot of the time they will "forget" to notify you. I worked here over a year and regret giving them a year of my time when none of the work was ever appreciated.
