Pros

Challenging and varied work. An opportunity to work with an excellent group of highly skilled and experienced engineers. The company works within an important and growing industry segment doing work that makes a tremendous impact on peoples' lives.

Cons

Not really a "con" but more a caveat: As a software consultancy, Full Spectrum requires engineers who are able to move effectively from project to project with regular - and occasionally, dizzying - frequency. Flexibility and adaptability are key requirements for this company; those averse to regular change in project assignments may find the environment difficult.

Pros

I was one of the only women in an executive role

Cons

FSS an organization that, in my observation, lacks strategic vision, prioritizes cost-cutting over investment in talent, and demonstrates a concerning level of inexperience in senior management. Firstly, it was evident throughout my association with FSS that there is a notable absence of a cohesive and forward-thinking strategic vision. The decisions and actions of the company seemed reactionary rather than driven by a well-defined plan for sustained growth and success. This lack of strategic direction left employees like myself feeling uncertain about the company's future and long-term stability. In fact, they brought me on from a stable position to lay me off a year later. Moreover, the company's cost-cutting measures were not only apparent but pervasive. While financial prudence is essential for any organization, FSS seemed to prioritize cheap solutions at the expense of employee satisfaction and overall morale--and QUALITY. This not only impacted the quality of work environments but also raised questions about the company's commitment to providing a conducive atmosphere for its employees. The issue of inexperienced senior management was particularly glaring. It became evident that key decision-makers lacked the necessary expertise and foresight to navigate the challenges faced by the company. This lack of seasoned leadership not only affected day-to-day operations but also contributed to an overall sense of instability and unease among the staff. Most concerning of all was the company's approach to talent management. Despite having top-tier talent within its ranks, FSS opted to implement layoffs as a cost-cutting measure, demonstrating a short-sighted and demoralizing approach. It became apparent that the company's priorities were skewed toward financial gains at the expense of retaining valuable and skilled employees. In conclusion, my experience with FSS has been disheartening and has left a lasting negative impression. I would caution individuals seeking employment or considering business partnerships with this company to carefully evaluate its strategic vision, commitment to talent retention, and the quality of its senior management.

A lot of really great projects to work on. Management gets it, they know what it takes to get a project done and not burn out the staff. You will always have the tools you need to get things done.
