Pros

Stable company, won't get laid off as long as you don't violate company terms and laws You'll learn lots of stuff if this is your first job, it's one of the top 3 insurance and banking companies in Taiwan, so you'll gain lots of hands on experiences

Cons

Almost zero growth opportunities, some of my colleagues get promoted for the first time on average 8 years Bonus is not as high as they claim to be Management is a big problem, the VP/Directors don't really have constructive ways to solve problems, the only thing they do is shift the blame to junior people and the management people take all the credit

Pros

The workplace fully complies with labor standards and regulations, providing a strong sense of security and fairness for employees. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and low-pressure, which helps maintain stable morale and reduces burnout. Colleagues are approachable, cooperative, and willing to share knowledge, making cross-team communication smooth and efficient. New employees can integrate quickly due to the supportive culture, and day-to-day collaboration rarely involves interpersonal conflict. The environment encourages steady productivity rather than excessive competition, which is beneficial for long-term career sustainability.

Cons

The management structure is relatively bureaucratic, with multiple approval layers required before decisions can be implemented. As a result, operational adjustments often take longer than necessary. This rigidity becomes particularly noticeable when responding to fast-moving market conditions, where timing is critical. Innovation and new proposals may face procedural delays, and teams sometimes prioritize internal process compliance over external market responsiveness. Overall, the organization favors stability and risk control, but at the cost of agility and speed in execution.
