Pros

Family environment, all of the 'lower-level' employees are very friendly and we all get along. I've made several friends here. Franke does hire good people down here at the bottom. Pay is decent. We've gotten a 2.5% cost of living pay increase each of the 5 years I've been here. Facility is nice, has a decent gym, on-site health care. Decent benefits.

Cons

Basically, you will stay in the position you get hired for. You may move one rung up the ladder, but only if the person at that rung leaves. You do not get pay raises unless your position changes. Training (or lack thereof) is a joke. They fired 16 tenured people at the drop of hat with no notice. Terminated an entire department and put all of that department's responsibilities on other employees, with no additional pay for those employees. The benefits when I started were great, though each year they slowly get worse. Deductibles DOUBLED from 2014, specialist co-pay went from $30 to $50. Pay (for the positions I've been in) are at the LOWEST range as compared to regional average for the same positions.

Pros

Job stability, very difficult to be let go and a lot of movement within the company to other departments and positions.

Cons

Upper management is painfully out of touch, constantly making changes to fix problems without talking to the people who face the problem every day, the only attention they pay to office workers are hollow gestures. Poor inter-department customer service.

Pros

The only reasons I can possibly think to work here are "a job's a job" and that the coworkers on the bottom are all incredibly nice people, they talk to you like family. Also there is onsite medical and a swanky gym.

Cons

There is nonexistent training and a complete lack of professionalism or personality in the management aspect, you won't get promoted no matter how long you toil away for the close-minded managers, they only seem to care about this month's budget, not long-term solutions.

Franke values all feedback, and we want to thank you for your comments! We agree that our employees are our best asset and we continue to promote from within through our Job Posting policy. Many employees have utilized this process and have successfully transitioned to different roles within the organization. In addition, we provide soft skill and technical training via our robust Learning Management System, which is completely free to all employees. We also provide other learning opportunities through Training and Development programs. The expectation is that all Franke employees treat others professionally and with respect. It is unfortunate that you are not feeling valued in your current position. We certainly don't want that for our employees and strive to have a positive work environment. Again, we value your comments and want to remind you that the company has many options for you to voice your concerns. If you are not comfortable going to your manager, you can reach out to your HR Business Partner. We also offer the Franke "Speak Up" program.
