In a small company, I understand you take on a variety of jobs and thus develop a variety of skills, which is what I enjoy about the industry. However, I was given multiple full time roles for the sole purpose of saving operational costs and thus earning more money for the owner NOT the company.
I heard they now have a rewarding bonus system, however, the goal is unachievable and thus they receive $0 if they don't hit the target. This is on top of it being the lowest paid salaries in the NYC events industry.
