      Pros

      - It "used to be" work life balance - great manager(only works if you work for the right guy)

      Cons

      - It used to be a visa-friendly, all of a sudden, the company decides to review everyone's visa extension without any further transparent notice. - Pay is way more lower than industry average. - It varies depends on team. Follow the right boss, you will be in heaven. Follow the wrong boss, you will enjoy "Chinese 996 management" - Old technical skillsets Don't come.

      Pros

      I personally had a very negative experience at Fortinet and would not recommend it based on my time there. The company felt resistant to change, and many decisions seemed to come from a top-down culture rather than thoughtful engineering or employee feedback. Retention also seemed like a challenge, which in my view reflects deeper cultural and management issues. Communication was another issue. In some teams, workplace communication could feel isolating if you were not part of the dominant language group, and this affected collaboration and inclusion. Overall, I did not feel the environment supported growth, transparency, or strong engineering culture. bottom line if you like your mental health avoid this company!

      The company has deep cultural and management issues. Decision-making often felt outdated, communication was poor, and employee feedback did not seem to matter. It was one of the least motivating environments I have worked in.
