Broken promises, pathetic wages

Pros

People you work with are kind and extremely helpful, prospect of full time contract appealing for morgage approvals, health insurance

Cons

Wages are the bottom of the ladder! Work is very strenuous and labour intensive, your work is never appreciated properly, gratitude is shown with a free burger or ice cream every now and again, bear in mind we are a medical company! Long service is not rewarded, you can be here all your life and still be on the same money!

Pros

Solid family oriented company. No layoffs during the recession. Made friends that will last a lifetime. In the business of saving lives.

Cons

Benefits we bare minimum. Pay for degreed employees was the same or barely over production rate. No opportunity for advancement unless you're either related to someone high up, or in with the group of people that are. Saying within the company "We're successful in spite of ourselves."

Family oriented business. Local company who has never had a layoff since its inception in 1970. Tuition reimbursement program.

Cons

Too much nepotism. Growth opportunities are limited unless you are a family member of executive staff. Compensation is below average for the industry in which they operate.
