Pros

Lots of ownership over projects, team outings, beautiful office space with lots of spaces to work in and tons of natural light, team feelings meetings, flexibility in time off, dog-friendly (woof!), getting to work across verticals and outside of your area of expertise, learning about the furniture design process.

Cons

sometimes the only one in your area of expertise, the main worktable can be noisy, but you do have the ability to relocate in the office or work off-site

Pros

Fast-growing company with dedicated, highly talented, friendly team members all working toward common goals. Great benefits and flexible vacation policy. Company sets its sights high and often achieves its goals quickly. Opportunity to work in areas not necessarily part of your job description. These people are getting it done!

Cons

Various growing pains associated with fast-moving start-up. Upper level management has trouble stepping back and is often over involved with day-to-day operations and have tendencies to micromanage. Limited HR team and resources for size of fast-growing team. Lack of clear career growth opportunities. There is a lack for designated opportunities to give upward-facing feedback which can result in sometime toxic management-employee relationships. Frantic and high-pressure work environment can lead to frantic project management at times.

Pros

Floyd is changing the way the world engages with furniture! The team is incredibly smart and ambitious, which serves to inspire on a daily basis. Not mention fun to be around. We have big plans and lofty goals, but I have no doubt we'll get there, and soon too. Employees are encouraged to chart out their own paths and share/apply their experiences toward the common goal of developing the best furniture brand in the world. Ability to occasionally work remotely, as well as flex schedules based on appointments or personal needs is a definite plus. Overall a great group, and opportunity, at Floyd.

Cons

Not so much a con as a reality. Floyd is not the place for someone who isn't willing to get their hands dirty and roll with the punches. It's a small team and fast-paced, so you can't be afraid to speak up when you have an idea. The team (leadership included) is always pushing to be better and is definitely solution-oriented (a good thing!)
