Pros

Decent benefits, even for the short amount of time you'll be employed.

Cons

The CEO expects every single one of his employees to be 110% loyal to/ committed to the success of the company, but in return has zero loyalty to any employees other than his clique of five or six fellow comrades who run the company despite their clear lack of any industry experience. Seriously, take a look and you'll find all their top leadership has ZERO experience in media, let alone sales. They refuse to listen to any media advice or best practices (even if it comes from industry experts), allowing their toxic egos to ruin the chances of any long-term progress or , and instead on focusing on short-term goals and pipelines. Half of the processes and impression models were literally developed by interns, and all their engineering, operations, and product teams are entirely Turkey-based, making product development and campaign improvement nearly impossible. Their industry experience shows with the clear lack of direction, failed market launches, and consistent waves of mass lay-offs. In my less than one year of working there, I witnessed three rounds of (poorly planned) layoffs, with a handful of people even being offered their jobs back within days (and in some cases HOURS) after realizing there was no backup plan.  Despite this, the company is backed by several reputable VCs, but the money is clearly running out as they laid off all but about a couple dozen of the US staff within a WEEK of COVID 19, with another handful of employees being laid off in the months since. If you are thinking about joining the company, reach out to local major media agencies and ask what they think. Firefly is has been a laughing stock to the OOH industry, and lacks any basic digital industry capabilities despite calling themselves an "innovator in AdTech".

Pros

The industry was excited to learn about a new offering like Firefly's, which made getting meetings easy...which was nice. There is camaraderie amongst the sales/research teams, which made the job tolerable. Free lunch.

Cons

Reminds me of the FRYE Festival scenario - was sold a whole bunch of BS that never came to fruition and was a major disappointment. The company has a huge divide between the sales team/sales management vs. the founders of the company and their entourage (whom have zero media experience). There is complete lack of respect for their employees hard work - nothing ever seemed good enough. Employees and sales managers were expected to be on call at any hour of day and day of week, including weekends, to answer CEO's calls regarding sales opportunities. Direction of this place was INSANE. Every week it was a new "focus" and we had to drop everything we were doing to execute on that one initiative....and often times that direction we were chasing after and executing on, would end up not even happening (ie: launching markets....wait jk, no we aren't). Company was known for continuously hiring and firing people. Some of those people fired were literally only with the company for days/weeks (and not to mention had been pursued for months to join). When people were fired, the founders were never to be found. They forced managers or HR to do it.

Absolutely horrible company

Pros

There are very few pros as the company is not able to execute on campaigns as they overpromise capabilities to clients and employees. However, meetings are easier to get than in other forms of advertising as clients are 'excited to hear about something new.' That fades quickly and will fade more and more with time.

Cons

The founders have zero respect for the employees. They know absolutely nothing about advertising and this creates an immense amount of unrealistic pressure. They do not respect work-life balance and will call your cell or slack you at all hours of the day/night for unimportant things. They fire and hire quickly for no reason. There is no stability here.
