Pros

Good pay and ok benefits relative to other agencies A lot of decent and genuine people driving the mission

Cons

Lots of SLOGANS! but apart from launching yet another initiative there is little to show the so-called values actually guide their action. examples -Ineffectual and straight up fraudster (and vindictive) mgr who has a (well meaning but oblivious) boss under their thumb, so lots and lots of pointless busy-work (Sure .gov products are not copyrighted but doesn't mean you just cut and paste whole sections and present it as something original) yet RESPECT! BEHAVIOR! INTEGRITY! - Prevarication reigns - changing goal posts i.e. lying -a pilot that midway becomes 'no we haven't started' and 'anyway its not a pilot', yet COMMUNICATION! INTEGRITY! - Whole unit quits because of clueless and toxic mgr yet Agency leaders allow boss to do nothing for over a year yet ACCOUNTABILITY! - Vindictively revoking a policy that allows remote work before it could go in effect knowing some employees situations yet FAIR! "Our employees are our greatest resource"!

Pros

Dedicated staff, good benefits You will look wistfully back at former bosses you thought were terrible. Lol

Cons

Its true Calabria left mid 2021. Weak and oppressive senior management; senior leadership permits it by not addressing the issues brought up by staff Some of the support offices are great, but others appear chaotic and disorganized with no clear direction. You will be regularly interrupted by a steady sales job stream of surveys, assessments, bench marking, indicators, integrations, optimizations - that are anything but. It's exhausting. (but do agree to the 'assist' or you'll be accused of the unthinkable.) It's an eerie combination of superficial expertise in the subject, navel-gazing and self promotion/attention seeking. They will take an office mandate or methods and processes that were designed to be user friendly and understandable by the program staff, and 'improve and update' them into a morass of puffed-up jargon, incomprehensible 'frameworks' and 'tools'. Perfect!

Pros

Free parking Good pay Amazing staff Nice building

Cons

A few petty insecure executives with control issues -got their positions through quid pro quos but lack skill for role so tend to over-control, self-promote, micromanage, poseur and be spiteful Gross managerial incompetence shielded by greek-life connections
