Pros

- discount of 30% off of full priced and sale stock - Pay rate is good; Time and a quarter saturday, time and a half sunday. Base rate goes up with age.

Cons

-Regional managers are unprofessional, lack emotional intelligence, and bully managers and staff members into submission of tasks -Many managers work 10+ extra hour a week that they DO NOT get paid for, due to pressures from upper management. e.g Manager have done multiple 15-17 hour days just to clean the store UNPAID, this is expected by regional managers. - Was told to clock out of my shift at the rostered time, and continue to work unpaid for 1 hour+ after closing. -No training, to set standards and go through health and safety protocol. Resulted in a staff member trying to mix an AMMONIA and BLEACH cleaner together. -Rude arrogant customers -Messy store, may have to deal with biohazards such as used women's sanitary products, urine, blood. Usually no gloves to clean this with. - Large quantities of stock (30+ boxes a week) expected to be unpacked in 24 hours by one or two team members, while grooming store and adhering to customer needs. Upper management refuses that it is unrealistic and will not roster more staff on. -Gossip, bullying, and harassment common ground in the company. -Unrealistic disciplinary measures e.g will get a record of discussion for a minor incident or action, just so the company has grounds to fire an individual. - Treated as disposable - Had to make sure you took the breaks stated on your timesheet, or else would be automatically taken out
