You do have plenty of supermarket around but nothing else, not even a gym. - If you aren't from Blackpool you may struggle with time spent in traffic as it's quite a busy area and issues happen nearly every day. - South office management feels under a lot of stress and can sometimes struggle to understand tech issues. Also their frustration can lead to some passive-aggressive comments. - The pay isn't the best in comparison to the amount and nature of the work. - Language used by some staff members can be sometimes quite inappropriate. - Developers office doesn't have as much equipment as the South office. - Sick days are strictly not paid even if it's only one time. - If you can't or do not want to participate to a gathering day you won't get the day off. - Sometimes, info gets lost between our lead dev and the south office. Which can create some frustration among the management team. - The CEO can appear nice and welcoming but she also can share her frustration quite openly. If you cross her be ready to be watched closely for quite some time.
