Pros

- The team comprises intellectually-driven and competent colleagues. - The company maintains comprehensive and clear documentation, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing operations.

Cons

Certainly! Here's a more professional rephrasing of your workplace review: - The product closely resembles other e-commerce platforms, lacking distinctiveness. - The mobile leadership team seems predominantly focused on OKRs, often overlooking the importance of fostering a dynamic and vibrant team environment. - There seems to be an imbalance in diversity, with a noticeable concentration around certain nationalities. - Benefits and perks are on par with industry averages, but there is room for improvement. - Compensation does not appear to be competitive. - Taking paid time off can be challenging, though this experience might be team-specific. - There is a potential risk of burnout due to work demands. - The mobile codebase feels overly complex, which might affect efficiency and onboarding for new team members.

Pros

Really nice ICs who genuinely care. It’s a shame what this company has turned into

Cons

- Horrible leadership - nepotism. They have their people and their circles and you’ll see those who are promoted are in those circles. - don’t hire Ex faire employees back. People who have been at faire for longer are getting paid less then new people - layoffs totally destroyed culture. There was little thought put into it and over 300 people lost their jobs - borderline racist. … entire sales team lacks diversity. Everyone comes from a privileged Bay Area background and people of color have been mysteriously let go - lack of empathy for ICs and customers. You are told to throw sh*t at the fan and hopes it sticks - micromanaged ): - billionaire boys club. The leaders have no idea what it’s like to own a small business and it shows - no clarity - continue to hire on more people while firing huge chunks of workforce

Pros

- Mission oriented, inspiring everyday work and guiding employees - Great benefits and perks, nice office space - Some brilliant minds, great people - Data driven, making sure what is being built is right - Fast growth, successful company

Cons

- Lots of growing pain - Values are being distorted, transformed into a internal tool for marketing material. - Many hires simply don't fit the company values. - Top down decisions. - Too many processes. - Too many meetings. - Poor documentation. - Diversity in the IC level, not in higher management. - Average compensation. Overall, still a great company to work, if know how to ignore some problems.

Pros

- Learning quickly, this is the nature of a start-up. There's many opportunities to jump into projects. - Great company culture with a mission you feel good standing behind. - C Suite is very transparent. - Good RTO plan (remote/hybrid/in office), office spaces are nice when you do come in. - Perks are good (WFH stipend, wellness benefit, transportation benefit, remote stipend)

Cons

- The company has changed a lot from when I joined. Faire has gone from a fast moving start up where you could get in, feel a good sense of camaraderie, learn a lot, get a lot of equity, and be promoted fast. Now things feel bloated as a consequence of their fast growth in 2021. - Impossible work/life balance. I've been doing the job of 3 people and I'm still underpaid. - Very, very little diversity. Most of the diversity is in CX and this is also the group that has the most terminations... - Managers and leaders seldom listen to ICs. Generally, there's little space to push back on ideas and feel comfortable doing so. They also have the final word with Performance Cycle. - Career mobility: Faire overhired in the pandemic, therefore a lot of people are stuck in their current roles and there is no possibility to be promoted or move laterally (especially within Sales, CX, Talent). I've been stagnant for 1+ year with no hopes of moving any time soon based on conversations with management, regardless of my performance. - There isn't a healthy level of attrition. A lot of people are staying at Faire because they have so much $ wrapped up in unvested equity, many of these people would have left if not for this. Not only does Faire do a pretty bad job at managing low performers but there's also many people who are disgruntled in their role who are only staying for equity vesting. This creates a bad culture clash.

Pros

Great team of ICs pretty much across the board

Cons

Upper management (heads, directors, c-suite) try to sell you a pipe dream. Always “preparing” for IPO every 2 years. Minimum transparency from upper management. Gives cult vibes to get you drinking the koolaid just to hate your job in the first 6 months. NO DIVERSITY WHATSOEVER.

Pros

-Leadership takes the needs of its employees seriously and leads with a great deal of empathy. I am so impressed by how they've navigated the pandemic, shown-up for social causes, prioritize diversity inclusion and belonging, and try to do right by the employees each step of the way. The leadership I've experienced at Faire is unfortunately not the norm everywhere, but it should be. -Incredibly smart, organized, and collaborative cross-functional teams. -Great culture! Even remotely, working at Faire remains incredibly positive. I have not experienced any toxic elements that exist in other companies. Faire hires genuinely good people. -Growth-minded company - this truly is the place to grow and get out of your comfort zone. -I feel that compensation is fare and competitive. -The product is helping small businesses to succeed and is actually creating a positive impact during a time when so many are struggling.

Cons

-Work/life balance is a work-in-progress but there is a company-wide movement around improving this, spearheaded by our leadership. I'm already seeing and experiencing improvements in this area. -I can't think of any others, Faire truly is a special place.

• most organized onboarding experience I've had at any company • the design team in particular has a great culture of sharing and supporting each other • seems like a great place to grow your career quickly (compared to big corporations or very small startups)

Cons

• some people seem to be struggling with work/life balance and there are no signs of things slowing down • the team is lacking in diversity, especially in engineering

Pros

- Company hires a high caliber of employees. This makes working with coworkers a continual lesson in how to be more well-rounded and how to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up. -My manager advocates for me and shares challenging experiences with me to stretch my potential without overwhelming me. Allows me to try something on my own, but if I request feedback, is there with crisp direction. Advocates for me in time for F3s ( our bi-annual review cycles). -I have been in tech for 5 years now. Always had a c-suite that is too focused on 'lip service.' Max Rhodes is not this way. He presents honestly whether the news is harder for us to hear, or easy/exciting. He gives clear direction that inspires us at all times. -Company makes most pillar meetings accessible to all if not most. This way, if you have the time you can step in and understand what other parts of the business are working towards. feels less siloed. -The company's focus is and always will be on the small business. Is innovating, but not for the sake of innovation - for the sake of helping small businesses succeed on the platform. It all comes back to small businesses.

Cons

-We are wanting to hire those who take us to the next level. I believe one day it will settle, but I would like to see hiring for potential one day when we have IPOd instead of hiring to have someone build and lead. Giving room for more diverse backgrounds. - Lack of diversity in leadership. All tech companies are not doing enough for me here. While they try, Faire is no exception.
