Pros

Many resources to provide a healthy work/life balance. Flexible work conditions to accommodate a variety of limitations. Management has been good with working with my schedule. I’ve had amble opportunity to move up within the company with regular performance reviews and learning courses. Open door policy with HR. Safety comes first during the pandemic. Employee health over profits.

Cons

I’ve worked in larger organizations which can be rigid and overly structured. If you thrive in an environment that tells you what to do and when to do it, this may not be the best place for you. If you enjoy the flexibility to learn and are a self starter, FSSI caters to that type of employee. I’ve never been micromanaged here but I know some people thrive in that type of business culture.

Pros

Pay was okay and most lower level employees made the negative less stressful. They also had a partial 401k match.

Cons

Benefits were expensive, holiday schedule was lean, and no real room for growth. Their wasn't a lot of organic promotion either. Mostly hired from outside. Although smart and capable, this Executive Management team didn't do well hiding the personal struggles they shared between each other. Operations against Administration with the President right in the middle instigating the entire mess. This often led to conflicting processes, low employee morale and turnover. Anyone not the President or CEO that has been there 20+ years is miserable and they have no problem letting you know. New employees can expect dodgy training methods and changes to existing processes being made with little to no in depth thought being applied by the Management team.
