i got some experience at the airport, was a job

where can i begin - clueless management expected us ramp people to know things about client and contracts and would ask us, what are they getting paid for! - wrong pay half the time because of broken clock in machine, they refused to fix it - no work-life balance - would ask sometimes for me to work 14-16 hours per day because people wouldnt show up and then they wouldnt want to pay me overtime - favoritism - if you were in the favored handful of people, you were golden, otherwise you get stuck doing all the grunt work - broken equipment - we could hardly ever do our jobs half the time because equipment breaking down or broken. wed ask other companies to borrow and get attitude from them for asking - no advancement - see favoritism, expected to do the jobs of 2 people and not paid for it - pay not competitive with other companies

They never got my hours right, my paycheck was always incorrect, all of their ground service equpiment is always broken down, and they are constantly Shorthanded because they refuse to hire enough people to do the job. They consistently made promises they could not keep. They made me do the job of a supervisor without the pay or benefits of one. There were times when I would work seven days a week for weeks at a time, because people called out constantly and they just expected me to come to work and save them. My final paycheck was 20 hours short, and when I confronted them about it, the general manager, who thankfully quit recently, made it out to be my fault, claiming that I did not clock in correctly. But best of all? Some of their office furniture became infested with bedbugs, they did not call an exterminator, and I had to throw away my bed and spend thousands of dollars on an exterminator for my home. There are plenty of good jobs out there in the airline and aviation fields. Give this one a wide berth.
