Pros

Good pay, job security due to workload. Lots of PTO.

Cons

Management out of touch with employee and client needs. No incentive for growth or rewards for hard work. Use this employer as a stepping stone only , do not plan on a career here. Staffing levels are insufficient to keep up with growth. Management seems more focused on expanding business than taking care of the business he already has.

Ummm… so there’s… or maybe… what about.. No, there are no pros.

Cons

You get criticized repeatedly by upper management when your client doesn’t turn data in to you and thus falls behind. There is a constant fear of layoffs. Threats to fire accountants/managers/clerks is commonly heard from the mouths of leadership. Leadership has zero clue what daily work looks like, or what client-level service involves. If you’re not fast, you’re an idiot. Having correct financials is unimportant, but having financials sent quickly is important. If you’re sick you’ll get in trouble for not coming in the office.
