Pros

Most individual contributors are great employees. Most people understand we are in this together so let’s figure it out somehow. Great health benefits, although this might change with the recent SSC acquisition.

Cons

Where to begin? 1. Company works their employees to death, part of it is their fault the other is due to insanely high turnover. 2. Associate Directors and above do absolutely nothing. Don’t expect to be managed but instead to be thrown into the wild with little to no guidance. Some directors see it and care but most turn a blind eye. 3. Work life balance is abysmal. Get in early and stay late. Not often, ALWAYS. 4. Thankless work. This ties into the above, you constantly get more work even when your plate is full, you work 50-70 hour weeks depending on team and are always told to do more. 5. You are lied to during the interview process. You name it they lie. Job duties, expectations, hours etc. I’m speaking from experience and what many others have told me as well. 6. Pay - the salaries are fair based on a 40 hour work weeks but you won’t be working 40 hour weeks. You’ll be working until 2 AM often for upgrades, cutovers DR tests, or whatever problem of the week comes up. 7. The product itself - in theory its great and sells well. Issue is it’s too far gone, the customizations are out of control and the way to support it is not documented. People with knowledge are long gone so it turns into a game of guess and check to figure anything out. Clients are constantly frustrated and over promised and take it out on anyone who faces them. 8. Dishonest sales team - they say anything to get the client to sign. It is then up to implementation teams to try and clean up. To summarize. Your life will be hell if you are part of framework, ops and market data, client engagement or solutions. Literally any post sales client facing role is awful, hence the constant turnover for those teams. Your hours become intolerable and your sanity disappears.

The Negative Reviews are the Real Ones.

Pros

As you can see from the 5 star reviews that are short and sweet, they don't have a ton of

Cons

The company is terrible. It has a fraternal undertone as all of the leaders have been at Eze for 10+ years. Historically Eze has only hired from NESCAC (rich liberal schools) who love to drink. Leadership is also not transparent. The Atlanta office closed in 2017 due to lack of funds and when Chicago asked management what is to become of our office, they lied and said nothing was going to happen. They repeated the lie for a year until, over email, they announced the office was closing. The leaders essentially are afraid to face their employees face to face to tell them the bad news. They're scrambling now to find a buyer for their company while simultaneously putting in the least amount of investment back in. You won't be promoted, you won't get a bonus and you'll only get a 3% raise if you Exceed Expectations. Please don't be naive and read the 5 star reviews and think this might be a good company to begin your career or even make a career change too. The company is dying slowly and the negativity amongst co-workers is rampant. The turnover rate is around 35%. Please take that stat into consideration.

Pros

Not a ton. Everything I can think of that is positive is just something that is not negative, and pretty much standard for every other company like for example a decent water cooler or pretty good air temperature or a casual dress code. I would say great people but that’s becoming false. Everyone who is good at their job or fun has quit or is on the verge of quitting. We aren’t getting any good new people which probably makes sense since I wouldn’t want to start at a company with these Glassdoor ratings either, but it’s sad because they are so honest. The snacks and beer are good but I’d still rather get paid more than any of the perks this company has.

Cons

As most reviews mention, the CEO is not to be trusted. There has been consistent lying regarding changes to pay, model, layoffs, employee retention what have you. Pay used to be great before TPG was involved, but now the merit raises are pretty much in line with inflation. 2% for great feedback and a hard years work. As you can tell, this place is constantly trying to cut costs to be sold off this year which may be the only good thing I could imagine in the future of this company. The product is terrible and we are wasting smart people on covering up product glitches for large clients who are going to fire us anyways instead of focusing on R&D and enhancements. This is because they laid off essentially the entire R&D dept 6 months after the CEO swore to these people their jobs were safe! To top off the bad product, the clients are pretty tough to work with because they know if they complain enough they’ll get the software for free meanwhile execs shave off the employees paychecks just to keep the terrible clients happy. These clients will either go bankrupt, fire us anyways, or not fire us at all because they can’t afford to so I don’t know why we overcompensate for meaningless client complaints at the employees expense. I guess their goal of clients for life doesn’t fit with employees first.

Thanks for your feedback. Since many of your comments are directed at me specifically, I will start by saying that I always try to be as transparent, open and direct in my communication as I can be. I am always open to a conversation to address specific suggestions, or concerns. While my preference is always an in-person meeting, phone call or email, I find that some employees are more comfortable leveraging Officevibe as a communication channel. (Note: Officevibe is anonymous). Regardless of what communication channel employees use to share their feedback, I can assure you the Executive team and I take it very seriously, and where appropriate, act on it. When I read your review, the theme that comes through to me is change. As we have grown into a global company, we have had to make changes to scale our business and stay competitive in this industry. While I’m sure there is always an opportunity to improve the clarity of our messaging, I have always tried to be open and honest about what changes we’re making and why. That said, I do take issue with your characterization of me as “not to be trusted” and the implication that I have “lied.” Neither of these things are true. I always have the best interests of the company, our employees and our clients at heart. If you’d like to better understand our vision as a company or would like to discuss your career development, please take me up on my offer to speak directly.
