Fantastic company with growth opportunities and potential
Pros
I love the close-knit family-style work environment that EyeTech creates. It is easy and comfortable to get to know and to go to other EyeTech engineers when I need assistance for something, or even to just learn more about what project they are working on. Work-life balance is the best I have seen. I have never worked for a company that genuinely cared as much about work-life balance as EyeTech does. EyeTech also is a great environment for experimenting with big new ideas, and there is no "red tape" from the management on what reasonable ideas cannot be tried and tested.
Cons
EyeTech management can be rather sluggish about providing job performance feedback, and when they do, it has been some of the most vague feedback that I've gotten in my career. I was once told "you are doing well, we are glad to have you, just keep it up" but the feedback was vague as to what I was doing well, and getting insight from others on finding improvement opportunities can be kind of difficult.
