The people at RVNA really care about the patients and the staff. Best VNA that I have worked for by far.

Pros

Caring staff Good pay They really try to help you balance work and life schedule. Area that you cover is not too large.

Cons

Weekends need more nurses or they need to stop taking as many admits as we do. This way all patients get seen and the nurses don't always have to work more than 8 hrs on the weekends. We work 1 weekend every 4 weeks

Work with great, committed staff who appreciate each other and care deeply for the patients in our community. Co-workers encourage and recognize each other for their initiative.

Cons

Bloated highly compensated administrators are out of touch with overworked employees. Unreasonable expectations are set with rigid top-down management style. There is tremendous turnover in practice management.

Pros

Location-Beautiful area. Easy parking. The benefits package is not bad, but need to get care from Exeter Hospital physicians. Some OK, but others, particularly surgeons, seem incompetent.

Cons

Surgeons very poor, from what the OR nurses tell us. Administration, in my opinion, totally against nurses and other patient care individuals Care only about cutting costs and making more money
