Sr. Clinical Scientist at ExecuPharm for Merck
Pros
Work from home that's it.
Cons
They do a poor job integrating you into their clients ecosystem. Poor operations, always in flux and contradictory direction on how to accomplish things. Management treats you like a dog from both Execupharm and Merck. I am on 6 projects, 2 priority phase III clinical studies breast cancer studies and my allowable was .2 FTE for each and .6 for my other studies which anyone who has run studies knows this is a joke and no feasible. There is very high turnover because both Merck employees and Execupharm management do not know how to treat people with respect. Lies Lies Lies ---they lie about atmosphere and team it is completely depressing, they lie about great training -- a complete falsehoods, the line managers barely know the processes themselves and that is because our particular client, Merck, operations are so poor and convoluted. They lie when they tell you that the client sees you as a equal that for sure is a damn lie they talk down to you and I have seen colleagues fired or forced to resign for doing the right thing because the client did not like be told the correct option. Management will always side with client. I learn to maneuver around by basically documenting everything.... even so far as sending my self of conversations I just had and bcc myself on emails to protect myself with management. This is a cash cow and you're a peg in that cash cow. If you can work in an environment where you are on edge of losing your job at a moments notice its the place for you.
