Pros

Lots of outdated reviews so I figured I’d provide current info. - Micro-management is practically nil. Lots of freedom to just get things done. Some EM’s not so much, however 99% leave you alone when they need to. - Upper management is the best of the best. They listen to you and actually care about their employees. They don’t have big egos that you have to deal with like at some other ServiceNow consulting firms. - Lots of smart people to collaborate with on projects. Evergreen makes sure to hire quality people. - great compensation - The company culture is pretty unique (no, really). Friendly coworkers, considerate bosses, feedback being listened to and no micro-management goes a long way. That’s what Evergeen has built.

Cons

No 401k contributions. However the pay makes up for it.

Pros

I wish I could say some positive things about this company but all I have done the past 2+ years that I have worked here is make excuses for them. The pay is decent but you will work lawyer hours for that pay.

Cons

There are too many to list. They do not care about their employees - they pretend like they do but they will let go of you in a minute, I have seen it happen several times to coworkers and they will also get rid of you if the work dries out too. Management only looks to blame people instead of getting to the root cause of the issues the company has and they are losing customers left and right.

I am sorry you are unhappy. I am the CEO, and I read and reply to every post. I'd like to address your points. As to the hours worked per week, there are times when it is more based on a particular situation - but overall we average 40-45 hours per week. As to not caring for our employees - I heartily disagree. We are in the highly competitive ServiceNow consulting market, and our average employee tenure is 6.7 years, including our offshore team. There are also 7 current employees who were here at the start - over 20 years ago. We have a rigorous hiring process, but occasionally we do make a mis-hire, bringing someone on who can't do the work or doesn't have a personal commitment to excellence. We are not losing customers "left and right." We are very careful not to promise customers something we cannot deliver. In fact, while sales controls the rates pricing for a proposal, the hours bid - for every proposal, are controlled by the services team. This mechanism was put in place over 15 years ago to ensure that services doesn't get a scope of work they can't deliver and that a customer doesn't get "over-promised." If you are a current employee, I encourage you to call or e mail me so we can figure out what has happened. You can also approach HR confidentially so we can try to address your concerns.

Pros

Job security is very high.

Cons

Employee appreciation via salary compensation is weak and benefits are extremely week.

Thanks for the direct comments. As to the cons, we believe we provide very competitive salary and benefits (and we benchmark them as a "sanity" test), but as in all things any individual's experience may be different. Traveling consultants are the lifeblood of the company and the most prominent face of Evergreen to the customer. Consulting is a hard profession. While this is often behind the scenes, we do pay attention to how much time consultants are working and on the road, to do the best we can not to exhaust them. With each client, we work to limit the amount of time a consultant has to be on site, but it is also true that some consulting roles require more on site time than others. Don Casson, CEO Evergreen
